A belated Happy New Year from the team here at Watters Environmental!
January was a month for Watters to reconnect as a team and start the year off with full alignment to our company’s purpose, vision and core values. The entire team made the trip up north to the beautiful Briars resort and spa in Jackson Point, Ontario, for a company retreat and strategy session. A special thank you to the Briars for hosting our event and allowing us to use their unique space to come together as a team.
Striving to improve ourselves as a company (and individuals) is one of the best ways to maintain our culture here at Watters Environmental
The retreat involved a full day workshop that facilitated discussion around changes in the marketplace (globally & in the environmental industry) and the threats and opportunities that arise for our company. Understanding these changes is quintessential to helping us identify and relate to our clients and even team members stresses, and means we’re better prepared to navigate those challenges together in the year ahead.
A key element of the discussion was revisiting the defining attributes that we feel set us apart – our differentiator, if you will. From here, we could begin to dissect what has made us successful in the past, and continue to work with these attributes in the years ahead.
Perhaps most importantly, the session provided an opportunity to reflect internally on our strengths and opportunities as a company. We understand that striving to improve ourselves as a company (and individuals) is one of the best ways to maintain our culture here at Watters Environmental while also maintaining a high level of quality in the products we deliver to clients. Out of this collaborative review came a number of great ideas born from our team members, along with solutions and action items to bring back to the office.
We are looking forward to rolling out these new strategies; not only will they make us a stronger team, but they will benefit our clients and the relationship we have with them.
