Winners of the 2015 Change the Equation sustainability report writing contest
Sometimes hard work does pay off! Watters Environmental is proud to be the recent recipient of the award HP’s Change the Equation contest, in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which awards one company every year for their work in developing a corporate Sustainability Report. Though our team never imagined winning such a prize, we’re honoured and humbled to have accepted this award during the WWF’s Annual Public Meeting last month. This reporting initiative is spearheaded by a small ‘green team’ within our company, which was founded in partnership with the Living Planet @ Work program.
Though limited in its scope, sustainability reporting at Watters Environmental means considering all aspect of our impact; to our environment, people, and community. We benchmark our annual performance and identify areas where we think we can improve. We know there’s room to grow, but feel its a great start, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be receiving recognition on the first report of its kind for the company. A big thank-you to the WWF, HP, the Living Planet @ Work crew, and most importantly the team members here at Watters Environmental that drive this initiative!
