Vaughan’s 20 Minute Makeover

Today marks the 7th year Watters has participated in the City of Vaughan’s ’20 Minute Makeover’.  To celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd) we partnered with the City of Vaughan to help clean up our local community. We didn’t know what to expect with our new office surroundings but we were up for the challenge. It didn’t take us long to find a forested area in need of our help. After 20 minutes, and 9 people cleaning, we were able to pick up 12 bags of garbage and 1 tire.

We feel that this may be an ongoing project with the amount of garbage we saw. However, we are determined to make our community as clean and beautiful as it can be so everyone can enjoy it.

This event was a part of our celebration of Earth Day in the Watters Office. In addition to the 20 Minute Makeover, we hosted a lunchtime trivia game for staff to learn more about Mother Earth. We will wrap up our celebration tomorrow by participating in a local community’s tree planting.
